Recapture the Regency Era at “A Bridgerton Affair” Charity Ball to Support Local Nonprofits

Washington, DC August 21, 2023 — “A Bridgerton Affair” Charity Ball will whisk event goers back to the Regency era in support of two local 501(c)(3) nonprofits—A Wider Circle and the University of Maryland (UM) Capital Region Health Foundation—serving communities in need throughout the DMV.

Hosted by The HR SOURCE Foundation, “A Bridgerton Affair” Charity Ball will be held at the Newton White Mansion, 2708 Enterprise Road, Mitchellville, Maryland on Saturday, September 16, 2023, 6-10 pm.

“A Bridgerton Affair Charity Ball will be an extraordinary event to support A Wider Circle and University of Maryland Capital Region Health Foundation,” said Pat Hall Jaynes, CEO, The HR Source. As a board member of both organizations, “I  support the critical resources and services they provide throughout the Washington, DC region. This is also a special opportunity for Bridgerton fans to support both organizations and experience an event like never before.”

Special guests include Jacquelynn “Jaci” Williamson, mother, wife, actress, model, and all-around creative making her mark in the worlds of TV/film and modeling for the better part of two decades. She can be seen as “Zoe” in Christopher Nolan‘s “The Final Say,” currently streaming on BET+.

A Bridgerton Affair Charity Ball also includes a gourmet catered menu by Chef Katrell, live entertainment as well as performances by Regency-era themed magicians, jugglers, dancing, and a costume contest for those adorning Bridgerton-style attire. Event goers will also get exclusive access to the latest news from First Lady Whistlesource.

Attendees can also bid on silent auction items that include hotel stays, golf packages and an interior design consultation with Transformations, gift certificates for Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, Golf for Four at The Country Club at Woodmore, and more.

Proceeds from the event will support A Wider Circle’s mission to advance equity in the greater Washington, DC region and address the root causes of poverty. Proceeds will also benefit the University of Maryland Capital Region Health Foundation’s new cancer care center for advanced medicine.
