Thomas Dade “The Blaq Picasso” was born and raised in Washington, DC and currently works out of his studio in Hagerstown, MD. Thomas is an alumnus of the esteemed Duke Ellington School of the Arts. His work is inspired by music, identity and mystery.
Thomas is primarily an abstract painter, that uses various mediums to conceptualize his vision. Thomas credits his passion to become a working artist to working as an assistant to International artist Sam Gilliam and sculptor/architect John L. Dreyfuss.
